What is the Hanoi Amazing Race Team Building Event?

The Hanoi Amazing Race-style team-building event draws its inspiration from the popular TV show of the same name. 

Participants are organized into teams consisting of 3 to 8 members, and each team is tasked with completing challenges at various locations around Hanoi, thereby fostering teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. 

These teams follow clues, take on mental and physical tasks, and adhere to strict time limits, thereby highlighting the importance of strategy and collaboration. 

The Hanoi Amazing Race serves as a catalyst for team bonding, offering a wide range of challenges and ensuring an enjoyable and engaging atmosphere.

What sort of budget do we need to keep in mind when organizing a Hanoi Amazing Race?

The pricing varies based on the participant count and the time of year. High Season is November to March and prices during those months are more expensive.

Opting for an Amazing Race during the off-peak period offers significant savings compared to the peak season. 

It's also influenced by the event's duration, your personalized preferences, and any unique requests.

Generally, the cost falls within the range of 100 USD per person for a group size of 50 participants. Smaller groups pay a bit more, while larger groups may get discounts. 

While we primarily serve a discerning and sophisticated clientele, we do offer discounts from May to August.

What is the perfect group size for the Hanoi Amazing Race?

The current trend favors more compact teams, with some teams comprised of as few as 3 members. 

However, an average team size of 5 to 6 participants is often considered ideal. 

Some clients, operating with budget constraints, opt for larger groups of up to 9 or 10 per team, which is acceptable, though it may somewhat curtail group interaction. 

We do not recommend more than 10 people per team.

For large groups, a meeting room is being organized for briefing and debriefing.

So we need to organize a meeting room for the Hanoi Amazing Race?

Given that the majority of our Amazing Race clients belong to the corporate sector and typically secure accommodations in Hanoi for their team retreats, we suggest considering the inclusion of a meeting room for pre or post-event discussions.

Nevertheless, for smaller teams of 30 or fewer participants, a dedicated meeting room may not be essential. In such cases, these briefings and debriefings can conveniently take place in the hotel's lobby. 

However, it is important to coordinate with the hotel management to obtain the necessary permissions, as the booking party should ensure compliance with hotel policies.

Can I do the Amazing Race with family or friends friends?

Yes, certainly. It's worth noting that our events typically target corporate clientele. 

However, if you have a group as small as just 6 friends or family members, you can form three groups of two players. 

While our events are primarily designed for adults, we are more than willing to customize the Hanoi Amazing Race experience to cater to groups or families with children aged 10 and above. 

How much notice do you need to organize an Amazing Race for our organization?

When booking our event in Hanoi, group size is key for preparation. Large groups need more notice, and during the high season, additional lead time may be necessary. 

In the low season, we can take on events with as few as one week's notice, but typically, 2-3 weeks are sufficient. The ideal case would be 1 month for seamless planning.

Is the Amazing Race an indoor or outdoor event?

We typcially start the Amazing race indoor with a briefing, followed by 2-3 hours outdoor activities and consequent indoor debriefing.

What is the duration of the Hanoi Amazing Race?

Our Amazing Race events are typically half-day in the morning or afternoon. The Hanoi Walking discovery is a shorter version of the Hanoi Amazing Race.

The Hanoi Amazing Race is a half-day or full-day event, however half-day works typically better.

The Hanoi Walking Discovery offers a short, Amazing Race-style-program of 90 minutes to 2 hours, making it ideal for those with busy schedules or in between meetings. 

Teams are transported to the Old Town by bus, where they embark on foot to decipher riddles and clues. It's a perfect blend of cultural exploration and team engagement. 

What technology do you use for communication during the race?

Participants utilize their personal smartphones for the event. In preparation, we create a WhatsApp group, connecting with our client. 

Throughout the event, we share instructions, riddles, and clues on the group, where teams can also submit photos, videos, and answers to us via their phones. 

This innovative approach serves a dual purpose: it enables real-time scoring, so we can promptly determine the winning team upon their return to the meeting room. 

Additionally, we orchestrate an engaging picture and video slideshow for participants to enjoy. 

This interactive setup also allows participants to seek clarification or reach out to us during the race, enhancing their experience. Including video and photo tasks elevates the excitement of the Amazing Race.

Each team leader will use their own mobile phone for communicating picture and videos to the organizers. Pictures and videos will be shown during debriefing for great amusement of the audience.

The Amazing Race in Hanoi promises a captivating journey through the city's treasures. Participants will explore renowned landmarks, from the grand Hanoi Opera House to the stunning St. Joseph Cathedral. 

The adventure continues with visits to the enchanting Ho Khoan Khiem Lake and the vibrant Old Quarter, where the rich tapestry of sights and attractions unfolds. 

Are there any fun warm up games or ice-breakers you would recommend before the start of the Amazing Race?

Before the Hanoi Amazing Race kicks off, we offer a range of icebreakers and energizers. Engaging short activities like "Dance Monkey" or "Finger Snipping" provide participants with an opportunity to bond, boost their energy, and set a positive tone for the race, ensuring an unforgettable start to the adventure.

We have so many ice breakers and energizers on offer that engages the audience and sets the tone for the rest of the event. Music and dance is very popular. 

How many facilitators will you provide for this type of event?

For an event for 100 participants, we have about 10 facilitators. When teams travel from the event venue to the old quarter, we have them accompanied by tour guides. In addition, we have support staff on the ground to ensure nobody gets lost and to support the weaker teams who require help. We also have facilitators in the meeting room receiving pictures and videos from the race and preparing the score sheet.
